If You Give a Baby Some Tape. . .

. . .she'll probably ask for some more.

And then she'll probably want a remote. She'll most likely put the entire thing in her mouth.

And then she might get bored and want some play time with Daddy. . .

. . .and Mommy.

And Mommy & Daddy will likely give her everything she wants. Always.

Elder Goodwin

Bryce. . .ehum. . .Elder Goodwin gave a wonderful talk on Sunday about finding happiness in the Gospel. We had a nice family picnic afterwards.

Andlie loves her uncle Brycie.
That is one handsome family if I don't say so myself.
Monday night, we watched, "Called to Serve," Bryce got a beautiful Father's Blessing, and we all bawled our eyes out.
Tuesday night was spent hanging out and having fun - - especially with Andlie. She lights up every time she sees him!
Bryan also gave Bryce his favorite tie to take with him to Honduras.
We took a lot of pictures. Here's all the sibs, sans Bryan.
Wednesday morning, Bryce was set apart. Shortly after that, he beep boxed to Andlie. That always gets a huge grin too.
The family picture after Bryce became Elder Goodwin.
Elder Goodwin giving his first "missionary handshake." Too bad Andlie was mostly interested in the tissues.
We got to Provo and the Elder decided he wanted to eat at Wendy's one last time. (Mind you, the Wendy's in Cedar City has stayed in business because of Bryce.) It was then that my Dad started crying, which made Mandy cry, which made Bryce cry, which made me cry. However, we knew that we were being silly - - a mission is a wonderful thing! So, we started laughing hysterically. Leave it up to the Goodwin family to laugh hysterically while crying. We were "craughing."
Then, we made our way to the MTC. Bryce gave Andlie one last tight squeeze. "See ya in two years, Andlie!"
This picture was ten minutes before he was supposed to report. It really started sinking in. You can tell by the look on his face that he was getting excited at this point. I, however, was not.

Here is a picture of the happy Elder and his sobbing family.

And, he's off! I couldn't be more proud of him! He was so ready to enter the mission field and I know that he'll be one great missionary! To be quite honest, I'm jealous of the Hondurans who get to hog him for the next two years. To keep tabs on what he's doing, you can visit his blog by clicking the link to the right. Go, Elder, go! We love you!!!

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day to both of our amazing Daddys!

Andlie helped Daddy open his presents and card.
But mostly, she just ate everything that came across her path.

Happy first Father's Day, Bryan! Your girls love you clear to the sky!

A-Freaking-Dorable

Andlie had her pictures taken as a surprise for Daddy for Father's Day and they turned out DARLING! See for yourself.

Mischief

"I dare ya to tell me I can't do that."

"But I'll just stick my tongue out at you." (This is Andlie's newly learned facial expression.)

"Do your toes taste this good?"

"Mom, don't worry. It's just a vitamin ring." (In reference to the dried vitamin ring around her mouth from the night before.)

"I am not going to smile right now. Please try again later."

"I know that Mom put me over there on the blanket, but the swing and heater look much more fun. I guess I'll just roll over and over until I reach my destination."

"Wow, it's pretty fun from this angle."

"Mom, how come you never let me play with the swing this way?"

"That casserole looks great, but do you need a spatula?"
"Because I'd let you borrow this if you need to."

"But only for a quick minute because it sure does taste good."

"What?"

"I need to bite those lights. I just have to."
"Success!!"

"What can I do that will impress my parents today?" (Answer: Anything.)

"Another picture? Are you serious, Mom?"

Smiles!

A Daddy,
something to chew on,
a Mommy,
my blankie, and my bink.

What more could a girl ask for?

Mini Big People Outfits

I love that Andlie is getting big enough to wear clothes that look like big people clothes, but mini. Here she is sporting this Summer's line.
Here she is in her church dress with a sassy top and tights.
Halfway down the runway, she took the top off and it turned into this hot little number.

Here she is in her Sporty Spice gear.

And, who loves the darling sweater? Me!

This is the "Summer of Love" look. Get it?
She looks so cute in every outfit she owns, which is quickly becoming way more than me!

Is It Bad?

Is it bad if your five month old baby girl already knows how to fake cry?

Crackin' Up

Maybe it's the tone in which I was saying the word, "POP." Maybe it's the word itself that she loves. Maybe she's proud that she just rolled onto her tummy all by herself. Maybe she thinks I look funny. Who cares. She loved it and she laughed because she thought it was hilarious!
