Allen Halloween Bash 2009

We had quite the variety of characters show up to our Halloween Bash!
  • A man riding a bucking bronco barely fit through the door! Good thing that bull was under control for the majority of the party!
  • A cutie witch whose stockings and eyelashes were darling!
  • A couple of spooky emos, complete with tats. (Oops, one emo is smiling in the picture.)
  • A biker chick in real leather and her son, a real chick showed up!
  • Tinkerbell, Wendy, and Peter Pan made it! They stopped flying for long enough to enjoy the party!
  • Not pictured: Spiderman!
Andlie was such a good helper while I decorated and got ready for the party.

Look! We helped a tiny bear escape from the zoo!

At the first of the night, she was okay wearing her costume.

"Mom, please quit taking pictures. I'm not going to balance on this cute ottoman for much longer."

"Okay, it's been over an hour and I'm still in this costume."

"Please put the camera down, come and get me, and take this beast off."

"Okay, Mom. That's good."

But by the end of the party, she looked like this:

We had so much fun hanging out with all of our friends at our party! Thanks to everyone who came! Happy Halloween!

"What, Mom?"

"I like to put the Carmex in my mouth hands free. Is there a problem, Mom?"

First Family Vaycay

We finally had time to get away on the weekend together without any distractions! (Thank you, fake Utah "Harvest Holiday" that should actually be called, "Day off of School for Hunting Holiday.")

After shopping at the mall for two hours, Andlie was the only one who made out with a bag.

We loved having time to just hang out together as a family in a huge king sized bed!

Andlie and Daddy had fun reading books together.

Of course, we had to go to the water show at the Billagio!

Andlie loved it, by the way!

Then, we headed to the M&M store for some more fun! Our first attempt at a family pic:

And our second:

When we got back to the hotel, Andlie had some delicious (obviously) food. I love this picture for several reasons.

1. I made the cute bow in Andlie's hair.
2. I love how messy her face is.
3. Her bib says, "I love Daddy," and she's holding his wallet. . .and it's open. Hmmmm.
4. I love her naked-ness! She's so freaking cute!

Family Vacation 2009 Highlights
Seeing our old ward and showing Andlie off to them.
Eating breakfast on the floor as a family without a care in the world.
Seeing other old friends and showing Andlie off to them. (Congrats, Lenzi!)
Being together as a family without one single thing to do.
Eating pizza in bed.
Seeing people's faces as they walked by Andlie.

We had so much fun! Yay for family vacations!

It's Fine

Andlie somehow manages to turn herself all the way around when she's eating. It's fine.
Andlie sometimes sleeps on her right side during naps and it makes her hair look like she stood outside in a wind storm. It's fine.
Andlie likes to play peek-a-boo and throw herself on to the arm rest of the chair while Mommy is on the floor. It's fine.
Andlie likes to brush her teeth even though she only has three. It's fine.
Everything she does is absolutely fine by us because she's so freaking darling and we love her so much!
We're so thankful that you're ours, Andlie!

Dear Mom:

Dear Mom,

Thank you for getting me all bathed, dressed, ready and looking adorable!
Thank you for leaving spilled water on the floor so I could sit directly in it and play! That was super fun! Thank you for changing my clothes. I still looked adorable!
Mom, thank you for leaving your Wendy's bag from last night on the living room floor. I'm sorry I was being so quiet, but that brownish-reddish stuff in the bag was tasty! I guess it's called BBQ sauce. I love it. I'm sorry it got all over my hands and legs and face and the carpet. It was totally worth it. Thank you for changing my clothes - again. I still looked adorable!
Mom, I don't know why it's such a big deal to change my clothes three times in two hours. Besides, who can refuse an absolutely adorable face like this:

I love you, Mom! And BBQ sauce. And water. And three outfits.

Love,
Andlie

Happy October!
