News!

We've got news to share!

Helpful Hints
It is coming shorter after Andlie than we thought.
It is a happy surprise!
It will cost a lot of money over time.
We're not sure if it's a boy or girl yet.
It has four "limbs."
It will change our lives.
It takes up a lot of space.
It won't make much noise at first.
It is something we never thought possible.
It will make us parents again.
We're so excited about it!

Okay, so the "limbs" really aren't limbs - they're tires. And we are going to be parents again - to a 2008 Mazda CX-7. And we really aren't sure if it's a boy or a girl. We got a new car last week and we love it!

Mommy Day

Before I was a Mom, I never tripped over toys or forgot words to a lullaby.
I didn't worry whether or not my plants were poisonous.
I never thought about immunizations.

Before I was a Mom, I had never been puked on.
Pooped on.
Chewed on.
Peed on.
I had complete control of my mind and my thoughts.
I slept all night.

Before I was a Mom, I never held down a screaming child so doctors could do tests.
Or give shots.
I never looked into teary eyes and cried.
I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.
I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep.

Before I was a Mom, I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn't want to put her down.
I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn't stop the hurt.
I never knew that something so small could affect my life so much.
I never knew that I could love someone so much.
I never knew I would love being a Mom.

Before I was a Mom, I didn't know the feeling of having my heart outside my body.
I didn't know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby.
I didn't know that bond between a mother and her child.
I didn't know that something so small could make me feel so important and happy.

Before I was a Mom, I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay.
I had never known the warmth, the joy, the love, the heartache, the wonderment or the satisfaction of being a Mom. I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much, before I was a Mom.

I love every second of being a Mommy.
Every single one.

You can probably see why.

Andlie tried carrots for Mother's Day. I'm sure she'll like them some day, but probably not today.

Andlie got me some beautiful flowers, a card, and a darling frame. Daddy helped her. He also got me a darling card that I will love forever.

After doing everything for me all day long, Bryan and Andlie took a rest to take a quick family pic.

Happy Mother's Day to our Moms, too! Being a Mommy has made me appreciate them more and more, especially my own Mommy. I love you, Mom!

4 Months!

Holy moly! Andlie is already four months old! She was very alert and happy for the doctor and showed off very well. She was even braver than Mom when she got her shots.

She eats everything in sight! One of her favorite appetizers is the remote.
See, she refuses to sleep if she can help it.

We love watching our little girl grow and learn new things - - something she is doing every day! She is our most favorite thing in the whole, wide world! We are so thankful to have her in our home! She makes our hearts smile every single day!

Bryan Graduated!

Graduation Day 2009:
  • Bryan walked through campus and through a tunnel of his professors in the graduation processional complete with bagpipe music. (Chandi cried because her wife buttons were bursting with pride.)
  • Bryan smiled for the camera.
  • President Monson spoke at commencement and counseled all to, "Learn from the past, prepare for the future, and live in the now."
  • Bryan smiled for the camera again as he walked in to the Business Convocation.
  • Andlie dressed in SUU clothes for the special occasion.
  • We had a family picture with the graduate.
  • Bryan's parents came and took us to lunch. Thank you!
  • Bryan wanted a hug from Andlie, but she was too tuckered out.
  • Bryan came home to an SUU graduation decorated house! Thanks, Mom!
  • Andlie wanted to try on Bryan's cap.

Congratulations, Bryan! You did it! We're so proud of you and can't wait to see what lies ahead (besides Grad School in August)! We love you!
