Learning Things

Lately we've learned several things about our Andlie.

1. If she doesn't want the binky, it will be made perfectly clear to us via facial expresion.

2. Andlie likes being kissed on the cheeks. Good thing - - it happens at least 28 times per day.

3. It is way more fun when Daddy dresses Andlie. She's definitely got socks on - - maybe not hers, but they are socks.

She does have her tights on. Perhaps not in the right area, but they are on.

4. She is quickly becoming an escape artist. She woke up this morning half way out of her tightly wrapped (and I mean tight) blanket and her clothes - - and proud of it!

5. She loves her toys, especially when they make noise and/or move.

Isn't she ADORABLE?!

Cuteness

Andlie is the cutest baby in the world, even when she's sad. Period. And we love her more than we ever thought possible. Period.

Smiles!!!

Whenever a camera, or anything that looks like a camera comes out, Andlie looks at us like this: or this:
or this:
or this:

So, we've learned that if we want a picture of her smiling, we have to sneak it in and camoflauge the camera somehow. So, what if I hide the camera under my arm and dance around trying to hide it so I can capture a smile? Nonetheless, it's all worth it to see Andlie smiles! We love them and can never get enough!

You're crazy if you're not smiling by now. We love Andlie smiles, yes we do!

Doll or Baby?

After loading all of our pictures to our computer and looking through them, I realize that we may sometimes treat our daughter as if she is a small doll that we can play dress up with. See for yourself.

Excuse:
Andlie's hands were a bit cold and she would not have us wrapping her up.
Andlie wearing shoe/socks on her hands:

Excuse:
Andlie's hands were cold and we didn't have shoe/socks to wear.
Andlie modeling adult sized winter gloves. Thanks, Bryce, for not letting Andlie's hands get cold.

Excuse: Uh. . .our room was really bright and Andlie could hardly see (probably).
Andlie wearing this summer's fashionable sunglasses. Thanks, Mand. Andlie probably almost went blind looking at the dim lights.

Excuse: We were both tired.
Momma & Andlie cuddled up on the couch.

Hey, at least her hands are always warm, her eyes are always healthy, and she gets adequate amounts of sleep. We love you, Andlie, and are so grateful that you'll play silly Allen family games with us!

Happy St. Patty's Day

For St. Patrick's Day, we had green dinner! I do like green eggs and pancakes in a box or with a fox, I do like them, Sam I Am.

You might think Andlie is a bit mad from being left in the other room, but she's just blessing the food.

Andlie was wearing green before she pooped all over the world. Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Bryan is Awesome

Remember this? He's done it again! Congrats, Bryan! I think you're awesome!

2 Months Old

Andlie is already two whole months old! She had her 2 Month Checkup and three stupid shots a couple weeks ago. She was probably a bit tougher than me when she got the shots and was even smiling when we got home. Yay, Andlie!

The doctor said she is growing good and very healthy and even congratulated her on being such a wondeful baby. Of course, we agree.
At 2 Months, Andlie Loves. . .
The Daddy Recliner.
The Swing.
Sleepin'.
Holding her own head up.
Sucking on her hands and sucking her thumb - - well, trying to suck her thumb.
Eating, definitely eating.
Mommy Secrets.
Looking at mobiles and moving things.
and Stretching.
She also loves. . .
Being naked.
Holding her hands in tiny fists in a "Got your nose" manner.
Pooping with force out the top, bottom, and sides of her diaper.
Smiling.
Her hands.
Kicking.
Mornings.
Babbling & Cooing.
Fake coughing.
Focusing on Mommy & Daddy's faces.
Rolling from side to side.
Lying on the floor and playing.
We can't believe how much Andlie is learning and trying each day! We love her clear to the sky!
Although I am not two months old, I had to go to my six week checkup in February and Dr. Gatherum was nice enough to take a picture with Andlie. Thank you to Dr. Gatherum and his entire staff and the staff at VVMC who took such wonderful care of me and our sweet baby girl. I couldn't have asked for anything better. You guys rock.

Andlie's Big Day

Andlie was given a beautiful blessing by her Daddy on March 1. It was a fantastic day and Andlie was such a perfect little girl all day long!

There were so many men to stand in the circle that they couldn't fit at the front of the church and the circle turned into an oval-ish shape. What an overwhelming sight to see so many family and friends there to support us!

Andlie wore the same dress that I was blessed in and looked absolutely gorgeous.
Mommy, Daddy, and Andlie:

All of Andlie's great-grandparents! Left to right: Grandma Paul, me, Andlie, Bryan, Grandma 'Rene, Grandpa Allen, Grandma Allen, Granny Benson.

Four generations of Goodwins: Me, Andlie, my Dad, Grandma 'Rene.

Four generations of Bensons: My Mom, me, Andlie, Granny Benson.

Four generations of Allens: Bryan's Dad, Bryan, Andlie, Grandma Allen, Grandpa Allen.

Andlie got a little hungry towards the end of the celebration and the only thing she could find was her tiny little pinky finger. Don't worry, she got fed and is doing well.

Thank you so much to everyone that came and enjoyed our special day with us and loved on Andlie! We love you so much and are grateful to have so much family and love surrounding us and our sweet Andlie.
