Snap, Crackle, Pop!

Seven Things Chandi is Not Too Fond of Right Now:

1. Church softball

2. Sliding into 2nd base (not that base, tacky)

3. Wrists that are all gooey and misplaced

4. Spending two hours at InstaCare

5. Shots that are bigger than our outdoor hose (unless they are epidurals)

6. The word/action "manipulation"

7. Husbands in casts for 6-8 weeks

Bryan broke his wrist. He is never allowed to play church softball again.

Thursday night, Bryan slid into 2nd base and immediately felt and heard (gag) his wrist break. Me, Mandy, and Andlie pulled up right after it happened and as we were walking over to the field, Bryan came walking towards us and said, "Chandi! I broke my wrist." So, we all got back in the car and headed to InstaCare where Bryan got x-rays, a wrap, and a sling and then sent home for the night.

The next day, we went to the Orthopaedic Surgeon where Bryan got a humongous numbing shot and then his wrist got "manipulated" back into place, which he also heard (gag again). The doctor put him in a cast and told him to come back next week to make sure the bones were healing correctly.

The bad news is that Bryan starts his Master's program on Monday. So, if any of you professors are reading this, please, do your part and give Bryan an "A" right now. The good news is that he doesn't have to have surgery at this point, that he can still function pretty well, and especially that he can still hold his baby girl. (Note: She has enough hair to wear teeny, darling clips now.)
We are so grateful for our wonderful families and friends! What other sister would just take Andlie on a walk so she wouldn't get germs while we were at InstaCare for two hours? What other parents would drive all the way from Panaca to check on their boy at 9:30 PM? What other Daddys (both) would happily give their son beautiful Priesthood blessings? What other friends (many) would call and text to check on Bryan? What other bosses would tell Bryan not to worry about coming in to work on Friday? What other bosses would tell me not to worry about coming in to the office on Friday? What other aunts would bring lunch? What other aunts would make some calls to make sure we saw the doctor early on Friday? We are truly grateful for all of the wonderful people we are surrounded by!

3 Years!

Happy anniversary to us! This year was my year to plan the surprise trip and keep secrets.

First, we ended up at this beauty of a hotel room. Here I am modeling the awesome mirror.

And here, Bryan is modeling the bathroom window sans curtains. Would have paid $4.99 for this hotel. It definitely added giggles to our trip.

First stop: movie night! We had a very sparce selection and choose "Ice Age 3," which was a darling movie.

But, the town that we were in got kinda scary at night. Think lots of spooky, loud drunks with lots of tatoos.

Day 2 began with the launching of a rented jetski! I idled in the water while Bryan parked the truck. That's where these geese got almost too close for comfort. Good thing I wasn't too scared to take a quick pic.

Bryan had one awesome hairdo after getting the jetski up and going!

We had so much fun! Thank you, Goodwin parents, for watching Andlie! It was so fun to just be together and play and laugh and hang out and visit. I love you, Bryan! Here's to a million more anniversary trips together!

Look Who's Doing a Lot of Other Things Besides Talking

Look who has a new smile. We're pretty sure it's her pity smile. After all, we try really hard sometimes to impress this chick.

Look who finally found her bracelet and sucks on it daily.

Six Freaking Months!!!

Andlie is already six months old! (Almost seven now!) Where did time go?! Andlie had shots again and handled them like a champ! She even tried to take the bandaids off all by herself once she realized they were there.

Sit up all alone.

Scoot, but only if there is something worth scooting for in front of her.

Have baths in the "big girl tub."

Talk and coo to everyone around her.
Drink from a glass with a little help - her tongue goes wild!

Pat/smack anything in front of her.

Let out little girly squeals and screatches.

Click her tongue.

Tip her toy box over and pull out each toy inside, shake it, bite it, and move on to the next one.

Giggle and interact with everyone.

Smile!

Eat solid foods.

Sleep through the night with one feeding.

Feed herself with a bottle.

Wave - after a bit of coaxing.

Reach for Mommy, Daddy, or anyone who wants to hold her.

Fake cry.

6 Month Quirks

Andlie always has to have her feet "perched" on something when she's lying down.

The first thing Andlie does when she sees anyone is grab for their nose and/or chin.

Andlie's tongue is always sticking out when she's having fun.

We love Andlie and can't believe she's already past six months!

Mirror, Mirror on the. . .Floor

She is obviously the fairest (and cutest and most darling and most perfect and adorable and funny and happy) of them all!

Happy 4th!

Andlie got all dressed in her darling America outfit. When I got her out to walk to the parade, we realized that she pooped all over everywhere!

So, she changed into her pink outfit and we watched the parade. Andlie watched it with Gampa in the shade.

Later that day, she got to try a fruit snack - - something I think she wishes she could have more often.

Then we went to the traditional family party at Granny's house. Yes, we do use the camera for pictures of me & Bryan sometimes. Sometimes.

Andlie had fun playing with Aunt Mandy and the balloons!

And, she had a real fun time with the patriotic necklaces everyone was sporting! Mmmmmm!

Then we went and watched fireworks! Andlie loved them and even started talking to them and laughing at them!

We took Andlie swimming for the first time and she loved every minute! We can't wait to go again!

If You Give a Baby Some Tape. . .

. . .she'll probably ask for some more.

And then she'll probably want a remote. She'll most likely put the entire thing in her mouth.

And then she might get bored and want some play time with Daddy. . .

. . .and Mommy.

And Mommy & Daddy will likely give her everything she wants. Always.
